Hutchinson Virtual School

The mission of Hutchinson Virtual School is to provide a quality alternative to traditional schools in a virtual format assisted by licensed USD 308 teachers, and our school is fully accredited by the Kansas State Department of Education.

Our curriculum is internet-based and is powered by Acellus at all grade levels. Students have 24/7 access to Acellus, which allows them the flexibility to access the program anywhere and at any time.

We believe that staff, student, and family communication is key to maintaining success in an online program. A learning coach will be identified at the time of enrollment to facilitate a good relationship between HVS and our families.

Hutchinson Virtual School is physically located inside Avenue A School, 111 S. Madison, Hutchinson, KS. This is where all in-person meetings will take place.

Why Virtual School?

Virtual schools have several benefits, including flexible schedules that allow students to create their own personalized learning plans. Students have access to a wide range of courses that may not be available in a traditional school, and they can learn at their own pace. Additionally, students have the ability to learn and collaborate with peers from around the world. Virtual schools provide a safe and structured environment that can be customized to meet the individual needs of students. Moreover, virtual schools allow for greater parental involvement in a student's education, leading to a more personalized and successful learning experience.
